Hawaiian arts and cultural events, visual arts exhibitions, movies, music and dance performances and hands-on learning in the arts abound for very nominal fees or free of charge, all in Hilo town.

We are working on some very exciting techniques to enhance this blog and Talk Story presentations with visual images. We hope to get them in place in the next few weeks!

The arts community on the Big Island, especially in Hilo, is much ahead of the rest of the State in generating sensitivity to wastefulness in our culture. One of the ways Hilo has accomplished this is by sponsoring the very popular "19th Annual Big Island Hawaii Artists Recycle-Trash Art Exhibition and Haute Trash Fashion Show &Costume Contest" at he EHCC!
