Membership Committee
The Membership Committee works to keep members informed about current events and projects impacting downtown Hilo.
The Hilo DIA is funded by member dues, special events, and grants. We solicit membership and community participation to strengthen the DIA organization and support our work in the downtown community. We draw strength from our members, and in turn are able to serve our community. Please join us!
The 2024 Membership Committee Members are actively working to improve the organization.

DIA welcomes members as individuals, businesses, organizations, and nonprofits, regardless of location. The only criteria is a desire to protect, preserve, and create a more vibrant downtown community. Membership in the Hilo DIA drivesthe continual improvement of our historic waterfront district.

Membership Process
Our current fiscal year is July 1st thru June 30th.
Once you submit your membership request, we will review your application at the next board meeting, which meets on the second Wednesday of each month.
Upon approval, you will receive a welcome packet, including request for items needed to add you to our membership list, website and social media.
If you are unable to be approved for any reason, you will be notified immediately and provided the option to receive a refund of your donation.
